Iceland in Summer
When the snow melts and the roads to Northern Iceland open, travelers have access to some of the most amazing landscapes on earth. Some remote locations had few or no road markers. The black volcanic terrain on day two is an example.
Getting to and from places sometimes took hours on unpaved roads. Lost tourists asked Daniel for directions on several occasions. Daniel Bergmann’s knowledge of his homeland, and his vehicle with tires nearly four feet high, provided access to remote places and made every day unique. I would like to share my wonder and excitement of these locations with you. Each day is a different gallery – locations are noted when appropriate.
My galleries include both irresistible geology locations and a mysterious and wonderful Icelandic horse. I hope you enjoy them.
